The young couple woke up early, eager to start. The ice sun had raised high into the pale blue sky by the time they were finished rolling copious amounts of snow into three different sized balls.
'Devin, it is time.' She was, of course, referring to the family raisins, given to each male descendant so that they may pass on the parts of their ancestors from generation to generation. He brought out the wooden box and a jar of dust. He emptied the jar's contents onto the box.
'Margret, will you do the honors?' She wept with joy, her tears freezing as the rolled down her face. The blowing off of the family dust was a sacred and momentous occasion. Unfortunately snowmen didn't have lungs, so she resentfully settled for tipping the box upside down. They undid the clasp together.

'Ohhh, the carrot! We forgot the carrot!' he exclaimed as he ran off the fetch the family carrot.
'And possibly the fact that one side of his head is deformed from where you dropped it,' pointed out Margret bitterly.
