This run was still on retro hardware, but this one was the 1st personal best on my Windows 98 laptop. It actually runs faster on the loading times into missions (battlescape).
Still it feels slower than DOSBox, so the plan is still changing to it when I start the real grind.

high-/lowlights of this run:
2:13 my fastest 1st UFO mission yet
12:10 finding the alien base took soooooooo long, damn
16:59 but the base attack was running smoothly
32:25 unlucky Cydonia surface map, but I was lucky with my blaster shots
36:31 a 1-turner for the finish
