Psylocke gets to "distract" the Genoshans at the main base by causing mass carnage!

Psylocke is also an agile character like Wolverine. However, she has a wider range of special attacks to pick from. In truth, she has traits that are similar to most of the other characters. She can combo almost as well as Gambit; her Psychic Knife is about as powerful as an Optic Blast; and she has attacks that allow her to move whilst attacking (the only X-Man she isn't very similar to is Beast). This makes her an incredibly potent fighter. However, she lacks a ranged attack, and also has no special quirks like being able to scale walls.

Her only attack that I find distasteful is her Flying Knee attack, and that's because it often activates when I'm trying to do a Psychic Knife attack. Since the Flying Knee attack leaves Psylocke incredibly open to attacks, I'm not a fan of it. Anyway, here's a list of Psylocke's attacks:

Y: Elbow Combo
Down + Y: Spin Kick
Up + Y: Flip Kick
Forward Forward + Y: Slide
Down Forward + Y: Psychic Knife
Forward Down Forward + Y: Flying Knee
Jump, Down + Y: Neck Cracker

Psylocke's stage pits her against a fair amount of enemies. To make things worse, a good portion of them are gunners. A careful balance of aggression/defense must be struck to keep up here. The mini-boss of this area likes to use a giant flail-arm which covers a fair amount of the screen when thrown. Given Psylocke lacks a ranged attack, she has to attack and retreat fairly quickly (the Neck Cracker is useful here for that purpose). After that, she can't breathe easy since the ground will start to collapse. There's an X towards the end of the crumbling ground, so try and move quickly.

The boss of the area is yet another sentinel. However, this one isn't completely incompetent, and poses a fair threat. Mainly, it will either shoot a laser, or throw a flame bomb that will spread across the floor. Either way, Psylocke needs to take to the air when one these attacks is used. However, her high jump kind of works against her here since the sentinel can fire another attack before she has time to land and jump again. Therefore, a bit of prediction needs to be used to preempt the attack by jumping a bit earlier. Keep it up in a pattern, and the sentinel should fall soon enough (whatever you do, don't use the Neck Cracker, it will keep Psylocke in the air for far too long).

It's back to the forest again with the next mission. Enjoy the video!
