X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse Perfect Run - Wolverine Intro Stage
Slicin' and dicin' in a sentinel factory oddly absent of sentinels.
Wolverine is an agile and mobile fighter. Two of his best attacks move him forward considerably, and this is a useful tool in avoiding pincer attacks. However, his moves that don't move him are a bit sub-par, and aren't really impressive at all. In particular, his Berserker attack leaves Wolverine incredibly vulnerable while dealing mediocre damage (and to boot, it is one of the harder button combinations to pull off)! However, he is still very capable at handling melee enemies, and even has the nice ability to scale walls. This unique trait comes in handy in many stages. Here's a list of Wolverine's attacks:
Y: Claw Combo
Down + Y: Stab
Up + Y: Uppercut
Forward Forward + Y: Charging Claw
Forward Down Forward + Y: Berserker
Jump, Down + Y: Flying Berserker
As for Wolverine's stage, it is fairly straightforward. There are very few ranged enemies, so Wolverine is free to cause carnage without much hindrance. The mini-boss does however have homing missiles, so use some caution, and the walls, there.
The boss of the area is comically the only sentinel in the factory, and is only partially functional to boot (bunch of lazy workers). He can only point his head in a direction, and if Wolverine is standing in that general direction, he'll fire a laser. Genoshan soldiers will also keep joining the battle to make things a little more complicated. However, since Wolverine is a very mobile fighter, is should be more than easy to keep out of the sentinels lasers if he keeps using Flying Berserker (which will also keep the soldiers in check rather nicely).
Psylocke is up next in the last of the intro stages. Enjoy the video!
