XB1 Star Wars Battlefront 2 G74, 2P local splitscreen Arcade on Research Station 9, Ewok Hunter!
ElGato rec. No battle/chatter commentary. Well, well, well... those lovable teddy bears from Star Wars made it. But, do they have what it takes? We find out... Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
(2:27) Match begins.
We play as:
First player: Galactic Empire ISB Agent.
Blaster: Dual RX-3.
Abilities: Assault Training, Imperial Intel, Double your Effort.
Boost Cards: Desperation, Stalker, Interrogation.
Passive Abilities: Close Combat.
Second player: Rebel Alliance Ewok Hunter.
Blaster: N/A. Hunter's Bow.
Abilities: Wisties Pouch, Hunter's Instincts, Valiant Horn.
Boost Cards: Desperation, Interrogation, Stalker.
Passive Abilities: Out of Sight.
The ISB Agent is no joke. We quickly found out she has various ways of regaining health in the thick of the action. Not to mention some Jiu-Jitsu like moves.
We start of with the Ewok Hunter's small size which while that makes him a slower runner, it makes it easier to find cover and hide.
The Hunter's Bow is good in the is has that auto aim feature. As the second player, this certainly helps since the game doesn't allows the adjustment of control sensitivity. But on the other hand, they are a bit weak and with a bit of a slow rate of fire.
Aiming down the sights increases greatly increases it's damage output. But again, without the ability for player 2 to adjust sensitivity controls, pulling that off would be difficult.
Note: The Bow will not fire if there isn't a targeting box on the desired target, even if one can see part of it, like the head or leg. That got me at the start of this match. And as a result, got killed as I was trying to figure out what was going on.
Wisties Pouch releases fireflies that disrupts the targeted area. I already knew it would be something less lethal than the ARC Trooper's Shock Trap. But the effects linger. This would make it my defense, primarily against my opponent. I would have to use this to at least slow down the deadly ISB Agent from killing my bot buddies should she decide to move in to engage them in hand to hand combat.
Hunter's Instincts is the Ability that got me confused. After trying it several times, all I noticed it does is highlight my my opponent's precise location on the radar. Didn't noticed any enemy scan images on screen or foot prints at all. Looks like the Ability does not work well on Arcade. Sometimes that happens versus how certain abilities work Online or in Instant Action.
Valiant Horn is an overall booster to the Ewok's attacks and resilience. Need to know when to activate it because the animation it triggers when activated leaves him exposed for about 2 to 3 seconds.
Finally, his passive Out of Sight actually has a dual function: when crouched the Ewok becomes invisible to radar and his Abilities recharge a little faster.
