In today's video, I talk about the "Xbox One" being upgradeable.
Phil Spencer was speaking at the Xbox Keynote earlier this month and he said that the Xbox One could see a future in which it's upgradeable;
rather than replacing it with a new console.
Since the launch of Windows 10 and Xbox One working together (allowing to play games together and playing games on your Xbox One via PC)
and allowing Windows 10 players being able to play with Xbox One players. Phil Spencer believes that gamers might prefer a PC over an Xbox
because you can upgrade and choose your own graphics (FPS rates etc.).
He said "Consoles lock the hardware and the software platforms together at the beginning of the generation. Then you ride the generation out for seven or so years, while other ecosystems (iphones, tablets etc.) are getting better, faster, stronger. And then you wait for the next big step function."
Phil Spencer said that Xbox One owners could be offered optional hardware upgrades in the future to keep the consoles up with the PC's
