This is a simple picture showing how you can use a Xbox One combined with a Windows 10 or 11 PC as a capture device. If the system you are using cannot handle recording, or you cannot afford a capture card, or anything else, and you have a Xbox One, this could be a solution for you. Essentially, connect whatever you want to record to the Xbox One HDMI input, connect your TV like normal to the HDMI ouput, and use a Windows 10 or 11 PC with the Xbox Windows app to stream to the PC. Then use OBS or whatever you desire to record with that PC. This can totally offload all recording and burden from another separate PC. Depending on the features the Xbox Android / Mobile app offers, a person could potentially record with a phone or mobile device in theory as well...
