I will be honest with you, this is probably the worst part of the campaign. The worst part to have played, to watch, to endure in any capacity. The kicker is that this is the *heavily edited* version of events. I must've cut like an entire 15-20 minutes worth of "gameplay" (read: me just sitting around and spamming Overwatch waiting for the enemies to come into line of sight because the pods were STACKED on one another) in order to make this digestible. My patience had definitely worn at this point and it shows, so apologies in advance for the low energy and exasperated tone I have in this installment.

95% of this video is a condensed version of the remainder of the Avenger Defense mission. There's a little bit of shenaniganry that goes on, like enemies running in circles because they technically have no idea where my units are. One enemy even lights themselves on fire and subsequently dies as a result of their confusion. It's a little entertaining. Probably the only entertaining thing in this installment.

Once we return to the Avenger following this long, drawn out slugfest (spoiler: the mission is successful), we finish up construction on the Shadow Chamber and enjoy a brief introductory cutscene as to the purpose of this facility.
