This guide i recreated after losing my audio file for the original. If you take these tips and watch part 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uyzcmd8HFKY) as i apply them to an actual fight, should give you a very good edge on combat in Xcom. With Xcom 2(soon to release) and The long war mod available, Xcom can give you hundreds of hours of game play. This game really challenges you, the more i play the more i enjoy this game so far.

Highlights.

2:55 Side stepping(only works with 1 Full cover Tile)

6:25 Smoke Grenade and You!

7:20 Hunkering Down. I did not show this properly for the doubling of values, what i missed is if you are already hunkered down and then throw the smoke, hunker down does not double the smoke. If you hunker down after the smoke grenade, you do double the smoke value. This can be huge if you maximize that defense bonus. With upgraded Smoke Grenade this could add 80 to your defense.

13:30 Probably only was spotted since they were fliers
14:05 Line of Sight can be used for 100% defense

17:00 Not 100% true about enemies sight, LOS is their primary but if you break a window or take a shot the enemy will know your general direction.
