Although surprised by the fact that EXALT had yet more reinforcements in reserve, our troops showed no sign of slowing as they first secured the final pieces of EXALT data, and then proceeded to the evacuation zone.

EXALT did their best, where they could, to slow our troops progress, but found that before our terrible momentum all they could do was to provide our soldiers with additional target practice.

Once Evelynn made her way to Big Sky, we had the option to evacuate the field, or clear it of the reamaining EXALT forces. Although I tell myself that my decision to clear the area was made purely due to tactical concerns. Thinning EXALT's numbers would no doubt strengthen our position... but, deep down I know it was nothing short of bloodlust. I wanted to make an example of these 'soldiers', to send a clear message of what other EXALT cells could expect should they cross us again in the future, and perhaps just a little, I wanted to take revenge for the previous injuries they have inflicted on our men.

I wont be sorry once EXALT are silenced once and for all, so I can go back to feeling justified in my methods against an entirely alien opponent.
