XCOM: Enemy Within - Episode 63 (Frozen Heart, continued...)

It didn't take EXALT long to pounce. Barely any time passed between our troops returning from the previous mission and notification of unauthorised access to XCOM's finances... how they managed to bypass our security, isolate all of the dummy accounts from the real ones, and somehow syphon off our funds continues to baffle me.
But for better or worse, our finances were in a sorry state, so on the surface, their attack was wasted. However, with the cell revealed for the time being, I chose the only sensible option, and that was to dispatch Evelynn to infiltrate their operations in an attempt to pinpoint the location of the head of their operation.
Following her assignment, time passed reasonably quietly here at base, culminating in the council report at the end of the month. Thankfully the council continues to be pleased by our progress, and this was reflected in our funding... if EXALT had waited a few more days they'd have been able to deal us a decisive blow!
But barely had we time to conclude our meeting with the council, than the call from Evelynn came through, along with the coordinates for our extraction team to meet her.
So far, our troops have encountered many hostile units, but little real resistance. However, after the last few missions I'm not about to let complacency be responsible for further casualties. This one will be slow, steady, and thorough.
