Right. This one sucks. Confounding light is a nightmare. You've got 10 turns to rush the length of a train. There are 10 thin men, and a random number of drop-in overwatch mutons.
A perfect setup would be 2 snipers with battle scanner, 2 heavies with rockets and an assault with lightning reflexes. Medpacks are a waste, since you don't have time to heal, really. Laser weapons if you can get them.
As it is, I had 1 heavy, 1 sniper, 1 underlevelled assault and 2 supports with 1 laser rifle between them.
You need to balance advancing quickly with overwatch for the mutons, and not worrying too much about cover when there's no-one in sight. And also praying.
The advantage is the thin men are always in the same place, so I recommend playing impossible first, and abusing saves to learn where they spawn, then moving the bare minimum to reveal them. Although, some might consider that cheating. Up to you.
