Some more attempts at checking out XBLA games and Game Disc installs that I moved to external USB on the Xbox360 and then imported into Xenia-Canary - built April 8th 2025.
The Xenia emulator has two main versions: the Master (or main) build and the Canary build. Here's how they differ:
🥇 Xenia Master: This is the primary version of the emulator, focusing on stability and compatibility. It includes features and updates that have been thoroughly tested.
🐤 Xenia Canary: This is a fork of the main Xenia emulator, meaning it's a modified version worked on by different developers. It includes experimental features, patches, and game-specific hacks that haven't yet been merged into the Master build. While it can improve performance for certain games, it may also introduce instability or issues with others.
If you're deciding between the two, it might depend on the games you want to play. Some users keep both versions handy to test which one works better for specific titles.
The Xenia Canary build of April 8th 2025 is at a point where games can either run exceptionally well or fail miserably.
