Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Part 73: Building Poppi QTπ Part 1/2 + Salvage Search
6Now to REALLY focus on getting Poppi's 3rd form! Here are the prerequisites you have to pass first before you can start this Blade Quest:
- Watch the "Growing Up" (staring Poppi QT) Heart-to-Heart at the Ansel Hachery of the Leftherian Archipelago.
- Playthrough Chapter 8's story until Rex's team is completely reunited.
That's it, then to activate it, go to Tora's House in Torigoth on Gormott and talk to his daddypon Tatazo.

Tatazo himself was on the way of making a new mode for Poppi, just like Tora was... but the similarities ended there because...
Tatazo's idea of a new mode was to just make Poppi bigger. Much, MUCH bigger. The "size of ten Rosas" bigger. The only thing that actually got bigger from this was the blueprint Tatazo showed to Tora, the same one he used to make Poppi to begin with.
So then Tatazo showed him a much smaller blueprint... because he also thought to just make Poppi much, MUCH smaller...
Tora then finally revealed his own idea of a new mode: Poppi QTπ! Rather than just making Poppi bigger, he wanted to give Poppi a form that would make her look all grown up!
So then Tora and Tatazo got to work to build their plan for Poppi. Everyone else had to rest and wonder how exactly they would change her up.
When the team returned from the inn, Nia saw herself getting crashed into by Tora, who had finally finished his new blueprints with his father. Tatazo crashed into Dromarch on his way out of the curtains, too.
Tora was ready for this new plan to take form and grow up himself... but his first step towards that... was to step off of Nia.

So, for "Powered-Up Poppi", you need to first go through a laundry list of tasks. You first have to find 10 Golden Cogs, which can be salvaged from Temperantia.
You then have to pick up 5 Cubic Diamonds from Mor Ardain. They are minerals you have to dig for from Collection Points. So make sure you have Blades with the Mineralogy Field Skill on active duty so you can potentially get more of these at a time.
After that, you will pick up 3 pieces of Genbu-Weave Cloth at Boldarde Textiles in Tantal, Theosoir. Bring each and all of these back to Tatazo and Lila at Tora's House.

Between this quest, I also took on a different Quest, a DLC Quest, called "Upgrades and Tinkering", where Tora tries to help Rex find new Salvaging Points, and then heading to those new points to check for their quality.
There are four of these new points, and I should've left the one in the Cliffs of Morytha for last, because every other new point will only yield a single point of Gold for you to pick up. So Rex and Tora will deem those Salvaging Points as failures.
However, some of these points will also be guarded by a group of enemies, and the one that guards the point at the Cliffs might as well be a miniboss fight. That is also the one point that actually IS good for Salvaging, but you still have to reach the rest of the bad ones before this Quest can be completed.
