Looks like Alois aka Al is joining but we now have a bigger problem. Before that though, we got an Affinity Mission.
This is A Hero's Trial. And this trial isn't much. We just have to battle Al and his Ares Prime. He does this because he wants to see if we are worth being an ally to him. Fortunately he's not difficult. All of this proves that we can hold our own. By completing this mission, we earn the Sniper Rifle art, Howling Soul.
Now we begin the second act of Chapter 13: The Second Project Exodus. Vandham wants us to meet him in Command, and we will. Turns out they have a plan. Turns out the Ganglion are stirring back up due to Void. But our main objective is to recover the Cores. What for? A second Project Exodus. This isn't just a fight for humanity's future but for everyone in Mira as well. All hands-on deck as they say.
During this whole thing, we get some backstory in relating to Al and his exploits. Not to mention that we get to see bits from other worlds too. In other words, this game is connected to the Xenoblade trilogy. Basically, Ares and Void ended up in a nexus, containing parallel worlds. It's then we realize that we need the Ares in order to make this possible.
From 26:29 to 27:57, you see bits from the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy, confirming that X is part of this.
Much of our mission has us going about achieving objectives while hoping finding a way to get everyone onto the White Whale 2. It's a long haul to say the least.
We'll be finishing Chapter 13-2 in Part 45.
