Xenoblade X - Field Kaijou // Remix/cover [ft. Psamathes]
Happy 5th Xenoblade X anniversary!
As flawed as this game was, I still hold it close to my heart for many, many reasons, including its superb soundtrack, composed by Hiroyuki Sawano.
Considering this, and given how this year also marks Xenoblade's 10th anniversary, there could be no better occasion than today to announce the release of my first EP: Landscapes of the Zohar, a 3-track tribute to field themes across the Xenoblade series.

Now that I have done the much due advertisement, let's talk a bit about this specific track :) For those who played the game but don't remember the music, this is pretty much the sixth continent theme, since it plays once Cross reaches further into the ocean. Unfortunately, due to some very questionable design choices, many players seem to have never heard it, most likely because of Don't Worry blasting their eardrums while flying just above the sea. Hence why I wanted to give this underdog of a song a little chance to shine.
Its style differs very much from my usual covers (and also from the rest of the EP, as you'll notice if you stick around): it's certainly not metal or rock, but I wouldn't be comfortable labeling it as electronic, either. Anyway, I'm REALLY happy with how it turned out, and I can't thank Psamathes enough for lending me her amazing voice!
I'll upload the remaining videos over the next few weeks, along with (I hope) a special Christmas video. Stay tuned!
