Recap: Just as the group is about to escape Solaris, Hammer picks his moment to brandish a gun, demanding that Elly return with him on Krelian's orders, mentioning that Krelian will "change it" if she doesn't. Elly's mother steps between Hammer and Elly, and Hammer shoots her, panics, and runs away. Before Elly can process the situation, Grahf and his executioner appear, also demanding that she stay. Erich shows up in a Gear, and is immediately dispatched by the executioner.

As she turns her aggression on the rest of them, Fei has an awakening. Weltall moves on its own, changing forms into the red Gear piloted by Id, and flying in from the Yggdrasil to rain down destruction on Solaris. The rest of the group is saved by Maria and Siebzehn as they're thrown into the sky. Citan explains that Fei and Id are actually the same person. While this is happening, Id and Weltall are still rampaging in Solaris, causing total destruction of the entire city.

As the Yggdrasil tries to make its escape, Id turns his attention on them. Elly goes out on her own in Vierge to try to stop him, somehow managing to coax Fei's consciousness out again, and Id goes dormant. Vierge takes heavy damage during this process, but Elly escapes unharmed. The now-unconscious Fei is brought to Shevat, where his fate is debated between Queen Zephyr and her council, who decide he must be frozen in carbonite for the safety of the world.

Elly doesn't agree with this plan, and sneaks into the prison to release Fei, planning to take him to a place far away from wars and suffering, where Id would never have to awaken again. It turns out the rest of the party is on board with this plan too, despite seeming to have agreed with Queen Zephyr before. Vierge is still under repairs, so they leave with Weltall alone. Ramsus is sent after them by Krelian, newly aligned with his Gear by the use of an Anima Relic, turning it into an omnigear. Despite his mission being to bring back Elly, his desire to take revenge on Fei gets the better of him, shooting down Weltall and severely injuring her in the process.
