Another one from Xenogears! My other cover from XG is pretty old now so I thought now would be a good time to do another!

I wanted to keep the original vibe of the song but I changed the instrumentation around a little bit. I really like how the oboe works instead of the high pitched flute or ocarina from the original. I also kept the main descending melody type thing in the background instead of up front. I dunno, it just sounded annoying in the mix, so I said forget it! And I ended up really happy with how it came out!

I feel like this one came together really well. I used the Korg Electribe 2 again for the percussion and I think it worked great for this track. For the rest I used the Yamaha MX49 for the main lead, guitars and basses and Yamaha CS1x for the intro and the strings/pads/choir pads throughout the track. I recorded everything line in into Audacity and used the Zoom MS-70CDR for effects. I played all parts individually, no midi rips or piano rolls or sequencing except for the percussion on the Electribe.
