While most of my gaming was done on consoles, as a kid I spent quite a bit of time in front of the family PC and Doom 2 was one that I never got tired of! It's funny because I can't be bothered to play just about any modern FPS game, but the old ones I can go back to and think how great and fun they all were and how they're still just as fun today.
I'm not sure if this is the most popular Doom song out there but it's one I have had in my head ever since I played Doom 2. I think I was stuck on it for a long time and couldn't find the key or something, but it always had this ominous riff playing that made everything sound uneasy and hopeless and it was just a really immersive experience. I love how back then the games weren't cinematic and didn't have cutscenes or voice acting, they just let the game world do the talking.
The original song is suuuupppppeerrr sloooowwww so I have sped it up a bit and kind of done my own thing with it. There are a lot of really good rock and metal covers of this one on YouTube, so I wanted to see if I could make mine stand out and do my own thing a little. Hope you like it and thanks so much for the support!
