In this video, we explore the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, a model that almost transcends the concept of advanced intermediate. With a premium build, the device features Victus 2 protection, aluminum edges, and IP68 certification, taking its durability to another level. The lack of a P2 input may disappoint some, but the Dolby Atmos stereo audio quality makes up for it. The fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen and its elegant curve add a luxurious experience.
The screen surprises with its 6.67 inches, QuadHD resolution, and impressive brightness of 3000 nits. Support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and the fluidity of 120 Hz ensure immersive viewing, while the Always On feature is a plus for those looking for continuous functionality. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, although efficient and with good thermal stability, leaves something to be desired in terms of performance when compared to top-of-the-line models, as shown by the tests below one million on AnTuTu.
In terms of camera, the main 200 MP sensor delivers sharp images, with emphasis on optical stabilization (OIS). The 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro lenses complete the rear setup, while the 20 MP front camera is perfect for detailed selfies. However, its 4K recording capability is limited to the main sensor only, which may frustrate the most demanding content creators.
Finally, the 5110 mAh battery with 120W fast charging promises to fill up in 30 minutes, but the autonomy remains only "typical" for the category. With Android 14 and HyperOS 1.0.7, there is some disappointment due to the lack of updates to version 2.0. Check out the video for all the positive and negative points of this promising model, and find out if it is the ideal phone for you!
