Playthrough | Part 1 – Chapter 1: New Beginnings

I am not looking forward to this. Seriously. I'm just not. But this is all part of my “Year of Yakuza”, so I have no choice but to do this. I welcome you all to my playthrough of Yakuza 3 Remastered.
Yakuza 3 or Ryū Ga Gotoku 3, was released for the PS3 on February 26, 2009, in Japan and Southeast Asia. North America & Europe wouldn't get it until March 2010. In 2019, Yakuza 3 along with the latter two entries, Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5 would be released as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection in August of 2019 for the PlayStation 4. Xbox and PC wouldn't get this until January 2021. The version I'm playing is the remaster of Yakuza 3 which runs at 1080p in 60fps.
Yakuza 3 takes place in Kamurocho but also a new location, Okinawa. Okinawa is home to two areas: Downtwon Ryukyu & Morning Glory Beach. The first fourth of the story is detailed in flashbacks from 2007 to 2008 with the rest taking place in 2009. Basically, much time has passed after the events of Kiwami 2 and Kiryu along with Haruka are ready to start anew in Okinawa. We now begin the first chapter, New Beginnings.
Chapter 1 is basically your tutorial, but it also doubles as a flashback to boot. So yeah, there isn't much to say but let's just say Kiryu is ready to say goodbye to Kamurocho for a while. He's heading to Okinawa with Haruka to run an Orphanage named Morning Glory. There is one thing I do want to say regarding this game and it's about the combat. The combat in this is not great. At all. The reason for that is because the enemy will have a habit of blocking your attacks after the first hit. That makes things unbearable. Don't take my word for it. Just watch for yourself. Also, I'm not going to be doing all the sub-stories and for good reason.
