Request Playthrough | Part 22: A Chase to Save Queen Himiko
I did say that things are going from bad to worse... and they are. Want to know what went down? Here goes.
We first enter inside the Water Dragon. Ammy gets to work finding a way to free the Dragon Orb that's stuck inside but despite that, we have enemies aplenty to contend. They're like foxes but dealing with them is bad news. Once they are dealt with, we recover the Fox Rods and we escape the Water Dragon only for us to learn it's true identity, the Dragonian King Wada. He explains that he was the Water Dragon who fought against the evil forces only for him to go insane due to an item known as the Fox Rods. Turns out the dark forces are after this item. As long as we have it, it should be alright. Sadly, Wada dies as the Water Dragon is no more. It's then we find Rao who we entrust the Fox Rods to.
But upon returning the Dragon Orb to Queen Otohime, we see an omen. A dark force went after Rao so now it's a race against time. We must race to save Rao before it's too late. We return to Sei-an City and reach the Queen only for us to be too late. Queen Himiko is dead. And the Rao we find is an impostor. This impostor is the one who killed Rao and knows what we had done throughout the journey. The faker, known as Evil Rao, reveals herself as the Dark Lord and is ready to raise hell. Evil Rao is a tough foe so take advantage of using your abilities to put this faker in her place. Not a hard bundle but not impossible either.
The Evil Rao is defeated but then reveals her identity... Ninetails. Ninetails the Dark Lord uses its power to strike Amaterasu hard. It departs, vowing to rally its fordces and crush Nippon. However, Himiko knew that this would happen, so she entered into the crystal hoping to use the Dark Lord's power and find a means to reach Oni Island. There's just one problem: without the Water Dragon, there's no way to even get in. So, they head to Watcher's Peak and find Otohime. She then decides to use the Dragon Orb to become the Water Dragon herself. Using this power, she's able to break the barrier and allow us to head into Oni Island.
Part 23 has us heading into Oni Island to take the fight to the Dark Lord itself, Ninetails.
