I believe I died on this boss 5-7 times. My first death in the game was on this boss, lost the full 3 lives, re-played the stage and was down to my final life. You get 3 lives before having to restart the stage. This final boss was tough. More of an endurance battle. Easy to get hit. Sound barely works so audio cues werent there. This is emulated on the Xenia emulator and sound was broken.
I had no shields (healing items) available since this was from a checkpoint, which starts you with nothing. This was on Normal Mode. I tried to carry some sheilds to the boss but was limited to two shields in reserve. When I got there I had one shield in reserve but ended up learning the boss and doing better , so didnt need to replay the stage again to carry over the shields for the fight.
