PlayStation recently announced that they will be removing Discovery video content from customers' libraries due to licensing reasons. Welcome to our digital future, where you don't own your content, you just rent it.

Of course, Sony are only removing movies and TV shows, right? This coudln't happen to our game libraries, right? And even if it does, we can just buy physical copies of games and be fine, right?

Unfortunately, no. However you purchase your games, you can lose your entire library at any time, and there's very little that you can do about it. And this isn;t just a PlayStation problem. Microsoft, Nintendo and Valve all have similar terms for the Xbox, Switch and Steam.

In this video, we'll investigate what you're actually buying, how your access to your games could be removed, whether it's even legal and whether there's anything we can do to stop it.
