Well, on the plus side, this is technically the first time I actually managed to hit my self-imposed quota in this game. I just find it a bit odd that the "final" secret chapter shows up before the penultimate one. Hell, the guide I was following to find the secret exits last time called it the "fourth" one as well, but I guess that the author decided to go with the order they show up in the stage select, the same way I did.

I'm of two minds when it comes to KI's information about Wario Land 3 being superior to this game in pretty much every way. On the one hand, it's good to know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel -- especially given the fact that I should be wrapping up WL2 next time. However, the problem is that I still need to make it through this one first. I'm not saying I feel like I'm being mocked by that... but it is a little demoralizing to be reminded that I still need to play more of this game to make it there, even if I'm already 90% of the way done.

I guess hearing Dari comment that he prefers to watch me stream over KI because it feels "more authentic" to how he'd play the game was supposed to be an insult. But honestly... I get it. I have a tendency to struggle through most of the stuff I stream. Meanwhile, KI would likely deliver something akin to a tool-assist run, given their skill with platformers in general. I guess the real question is if Dari *meant* it as an insult or not. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but that's definitely going to be hanging in the back of my mind.

I've just got one last chapter to tackle before I unlock the "time attack" stage and finish the game for good. I always feel a bit hesitant to proclaim that I'll finish a game next time... but I think I'm past the worst of Wario Land II's challenges. Hell, the time attack stage doesn't even have any treasure or picture panels to worry about, so that should be fairly quick -- even if KI has warned that it's a fairly long level.
