Revisiting a concept played a few months back, but with new powerful pieces in this latest iteration. This aggro deck is based on the Savanah Lion principle: in other words, the power of all of our creatures (except one) exceeds their mana value! Our 1 drops hit for 2, our 2 drops hit for 3 and our 3 drops do so much more than hit for 4! Surrak, Elusive Hunter is an amazing new inclusion as an uncounterable 4/3 Trampler that's also a Shaper's Sanctuary on a stick, allowing us to recur our losses when our threats inevitably eat removal spells! Spinner of Souls and Zoraline, Cosmos Caller make our board annoyingly difficult to deal with, as our threats either come back from the yard or are immediately replaced by others from our library! Abzan gives us all the interaction we need to clear the way for our attacks! Opponents won't be able to take our swings for long, as there's no chip damage here, just large chunks of their life total disappearing with each of our overpowered attacks! The first time around after OTJ dropped the deck was pretty brutal, but power creep is real and several sets have released since then. Can our OP Aggro still punch above its weight? The beatings will continue until we find out for sure!
