Description:

Lloyd, Randy, Elie, and Tio are new recruits in the Crossbell Police Department's Special Support Section, a division that operates almost exactly like the Bracers in a bid to increase the police's popularity. I̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶i̶n̶i̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶e̶x̶c̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶r̶e̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶o̶i̶n̶t̶ ̶s̶y̶s̶t̶e̶m̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶F̶C̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶S̶C̶.̶ The four are uncertain of their futures in such an experimental and controversial division, but they intend to see their assignment through to the end.

There isn't going to be any combat for a while, since we're just doing detective work.

Ian Grimwood will tell you what he knows about Yin, the eastern assassin. Next, the SSS goes to Heiyue's HQ to ask their leader, Cao Lee. He heavily implies Yin is in Crossbell and is on Heiyue's payroll. Yin is also over 100 years old, so they're probably at the level cap. Heiyue apparently has nothing against Ilya, meaning we still don't know Yin's motive.

Detective Alex Dudley from the 1st Division chastises the SSS for discussing their case in public and has them share details with him near his car, which isn't that much better hidden. The 1st Division is already working on the Yin case and they also kept tab on several Revache cases, but chose to leave that to lower divisions because they weren't important enough. Now they want us to give up the Yin case to them, which leaves a bitter taste in the SSS's mouths, especially for Elie.

The SSS goes to Arc En Ciel to tell the troupe about the transfer of the case, only for them to run into Mayor MacDowell and his secretary, Ernest. The mayor is Elie's grandfather, which the party didn't realize despite their last names.
