I got disappointed by the standard 1080p quality on YouTube.
So i decided to make a test with 4k UHD upscaled video.

It turns out, that if you double the size of the video - double the resolution from 1920x1080 to 3840x2160 using the simplest scaling algorithm like Nearest Neighbour your video will be looking better than standard, not upscaled 1080p video.

You can also make it looking better by increasing vertical resolution, or simply recording in 16:10 Aspect Ratio i.e. 1920x1200.
Obviously, it would be best if you and viewer had the same resolution, but you can't have everything.
If you recorded the video in 1920x1200, and someone will be watching it on 1920x1080, it won't be as good, as if he watched it on 1920x1200... Why? Because of scaling artifacts, loss of sharpness.
At least compression will be lower, and that's what you and viewer want.
