Ys: The Oath in Felghana (2005) (PC) (Nihon Falcom)
13Amazingly, the American publisher XSEED is releasing not one or two but three (!) games out of the long-running Japanese RPG series Ys (all of them for the PSP), beginning with Ys Seven now in August. Later this year we'll also get a handheld port of Oath in Felghana, which was initially released in Japan for the PC in 2005 and is featured in this video (with a fan translation patch installed).
I can't imagine that there will be a huge market for Ys games here in the West, but as someone who has been following the series from a distance for quite some time I think it's truly great that XSEED is willing to take the risk and put out the good-looking Ys Seven as well as Oath in Felghana and the Ys Chronicles remake of genre classics Ys 1-2 (which should be better than the lackluster DS port Atlus released last year).
