I think this is a unique strategy that really shows my background as a Tales player :p

Strategy:
I found that Chester can be range manipulated into using certain attacks. I can directly manipulate what attacks Chester is capable of based on my positioning while he's deciding his next attack. This is very similar to how some Tales bosses work, so I was quite comfortable with this lol.

Basically, my game plan is to manipulate Chester into using his thrust attack as this is the only attack which generates an attack window for me to punish. Normally, Chester will do the thrust after two dagger throws so I can punish that initially to start my manipulation. After I jump the thrust and hit Chester 5 times, he'll put up a shield. Instead of thinking of this as a defensive stance, I like to think of this as his "deciding" stance (as in he's deciding his next attack). If I position myself roughly three blood pools away from Chester (I don't know how else to describe distance, but hopefully you get what I mean when you look at how I position myself), Chester will almost always use his thrust attack again which allows me to punish him again. I can repeat this until phase 2. If I'm too close, he'll either use his explosion attack or his melee flurry attack so I have to make sure I'm at the right distance.

Phase 2 (starts at around 50% HP) follows a similar strategy, although there's now another attack Chester can use at my usual manipulation range. When his shield drops, I want to start walking away immediately. He'll either walk towards me to get in range for his thrust or start throwing daggers. He'll throw four daggers in a row and then dash at me while simultaneously throwing three daggers. When he does his dash, he'll likely follow it up with a thrust so I need to jump the daggers and then jump the thrust. It is extremely important to keep Chester manipulated every time he shields because phase 2 can get extremely chaotic with his dagger throwing and it is quite difficult to dodge his bullet hell.

BGM:
