Boss 4: Orjugan, Roaring in the Abyss
Nightmare Mode

Adol continues his search for the fragments of the Mirror of Zeme in the deep Limewater Cave. Inside, he runs into Geis again who once more leaves him with cryptic messages. Further inside, he eventually finds the last fragment, and looking over it is Xisa, the final of the fairy sisters. Using its power, she awakens a sleeping sentinel to crush the hero and retrieve the piece.

Orjugan always hit me as an interesting boss design, and its difficulty compliments that well. Its only weak point is its face, and to his that requires either lightning/fire magic or reflecting the explosive bits that it shoots at you. The latter is easier said than done, as it will use its two arms for a variety of attacks and will also fire a giant laser up the middle of the field.

The best way to take it down is to hang around one of the hands and use the jumping attack to temporarily disable it, giving you ample to to regenerate magic and try reflecting the incoming bugs. With both of its hands, you have to deal with it slamming them into the ground, falling debris, its mouth laser, the incoming bits, AND the shadow clones of Adol that sparingly stalk the field. With proper control the immovable wall gets defeated.

Xisa curses Adol for destroying her work, leaving him to his devices. Orjugan's defeat leaves a hole in the wall, which Adol follows. The path seemingly leads to a dead end, but a friendly face makes a re-appearance.
