Awww yeah, "Mid Boss 2" time. Like Sylph and the other Celestian Craymels, Gnome has a high tier spell that kills can kill or get pretty close to killing the party off with one cast, and that's Ground Dasher. So the main focus is stopping that nonsense, but he also loves to run through the party with his Snout Flare/Snout Rain/whatever ya wanna call it, which is more annoying than damaging since it stops the casters if it gets them and he does it for soooo damn long. King Tackle and Summon Friends are similar to Snout Flare in their annoyance levels.

In order to even hurt him, I had to swap out Reid's better weapons for the Assault Dagger for some better accuracy and had Keele throw out Concentrate so Reid could consistently hit the bastard. Even then he managed to douche it up, so I swapped Reid for Farah and proceeded to stomp Gnome into the ground. There wasn't any point in chaining with Farah at the moment, and Eagle Dive worked well enough in getting a solid hit as well as letting Farah stay off the ground. If he started dashing around the field, Twin Palm Strike/Reaper's Toll put him in check by acting like a pseudo-Chi/Beast.

The first time I played this game it was on a bad computer screen, so I actually didn't know what in the world was going on in this fight. Fighting him and actually being able to see the gnomes throwing rocks from the background is a great change of perspective from being blind as a bat.
