Previously, Link carried out a few more side quests: "The Royal White Stallion", "A Gift for the Great Fairy", and "Curry for What Ails You". Now, he will work on side quests available in Rito Village.

After resuming at Rito Stable, Link rests until morning at the cookfire.

On the bridge west of the stable, Link talks to Gesane, a Rito guard (time 0:55). Gesane tells Link about a Frost Talus lurking in Coldsnap Hollow. That is in the Hebra Mountains to the north. This starts the side quest "Face the Frost Talus". Be sure to bring Fire Arrows!

After equipping the cold-resistant Snowquill gear, Link fast-travels to the Hebra Tower (time 2:39). From the tower, he glides northwest as far as possible and begins scaling the snow-covered mountains. Fortunately, the objective marker shows the target's exact location. The worst spot along the way is a monster lair, but it is not difficult to avoid with a little rock climbing.

Link photographs one Lizalfos's Lizal Tri-Boomerang for the Hyrule Compendium.

Link defeats a Cold-Footed Wolf and acquires some Raw Gourmet Meat (time 9:42). He needs this meat for the side quest "A Rare Find" from Trott at the Outskirt Stable.

In a tunnel along the way, Link photographs Frost Pebblits and Ice Keese for the Hyrule Compendium.

When he nears his destination, Link glides down into Coldsnap Hollow. There, he encounters the Frost Talus (time 16:14). It will emerge from the ground as Link approaches. This is an ice-encrusted Talus. If Link keeps his distance, the Frost Talus will throw its icy hands at him. If an icy hand hits the ground near him, it will produce an icy explosion that can freeze him momentarily. Link can shoot its body and hands with Fire Arrows to remove the icy coating.

When the Frost Talus collapses, Link can climb onto its head. Its weak point is the deposit on its head. Link should hit this repeatedly with his best weapon. This will also knock loose some gemstones.

Link soon defeats the Frost Talus (time 17:03). This updates the objective for "Face the Frost Talus". Link claims numerous gemstones.

Link teleports to the Akh Va'quot Shrine in Rito Village (time 17:58). He glides down east to the bridge near the Rito Stable.

Link reports to Gesane (time 19:31). Gesane rewards him with a Silver Rupee, worth 100 rupees. "Face the Frost Talus" complete!

At Rito Stable, Link again rests until morning at the cookfire (time 20:37). Another Blood Moon casts its pall over Hyrule.

In the morning, Link teleports back to the Akh Va'quot Shrine (time 21:07).

Near the shrine, Link talks to a Rito named Amali (time 21:42). Amali is anxious to find Kheel, one of her daughters. This starts the side quest "Find Kheel". A good place to start looking is Warbler's Nest west of town.

After changing into Snowquill gear, Link fast-travels to the Divine Beast Vah Medoh (time 22:39). He glides due west/southwest from Vah Medoh's perch.

Link lands at the Warbler's Nest (time 23:50).

There, he finds Kheel (time 23:57). Kheel is safe, but she is angry that her sisters are not there. She asks Link to find her sisters in Rito Village. This starts the shrine quest "Recital at Warbler's Nest". It also updates the objective for "Find Kheel".

Link teleports to the Akh Va'quot Shrine in Rito Village (time 25:31).

Near the shrine, he reports to Amali that Kheel is safe (time 26:04). Amali rewards Link with a Purple Rupee, worth 50 rupees. "Find Kheel" complete!

For "Recital at Warbler's Nest", Link talks to Genli in a house with a cookfire (time 27:23). It sounds like she REALLY wants some Salmon Meunière. Her sisters have gone to get the ingredients. It sounds like Link should inquire at the Slippery Falcon general store.

At the Slippery Falcon general store, Link talks to Cree (time 28:29). Cree gives Link some Goat Butter, one of the ingredients for Salmon Meunière. She also provides hints about the other two sisters, Notts and Kotts.

On a ledge high above the armor shop, Link finds Notts (time 30:52). He can get there easily by climbing from near the chief's hut. Notts gives Link another ingredient for Salmon Meunière, Tabantha Wheat.

On the island just east of the village entrance, Link finds Kotts in a fishing pond (time 32:51). She gives Link the Hearty Salmon needed for Salmon Meunière.
