Previously, the party carried out a few of the quests available in Chapter 14: "Malicious Goons", "Wavering Heart", "The Power of Music", and "Tomboy Bandit". They finished the discovery "Johnny's Stolen Wallet". They are underway with "Corneo's Secret Stash". They found the Corneo Vault Key as part of "Tomboy Bandit", and now they can raid Corneo's not-so-hidden vaults.
After resuming, the party takes Sam's Delivery Service to the Sector 5 Undercity - Entrance.
Near the community center south of the Leaf House, the party talks to a Doctor. He issues the quest "Secret Medicine". He wants them to find three components for his medicine: a Moogle's Mortar, a Behemoth Horn, and Medicinal Flowers. The party can talk to him for hints.
First, the party visits Moggie in the Children's Secret Hideout. They get the Moogle's Mortar, one of the components for "Secret Medicine". They also get the Telluric Scriptures Vol. I, which gives Aerith 10 SP.
The party takes Sam's Delivery Service to the Sector 5 Undercity - Church.
On the ground in the church, the party finds the Medicinal Flowers, another component for "Secret Medicine".
The party takes Sam's Delivery Service to the Sector 6 Undercity - Evergreen Park.
They talk to Wymer. Wymer issues the quest "Subterranean Menace". He wants the party's help dealing with the monsters in the Underground Test Site. This will be essential to completing "Secret Medicine", too.
The party heads underground to the Power Substation in the Sector 7 - Collapsed Plate Area. The player can fast-travel out of this area by holding the L1 button.
A Prohibited Area has now opened up. The party finds a ladder down to the Break Room in the Underground Test Site - B1. Convenient. The monsters throughout the Underground Test Site have been updated. Some of them are special specimens from prior quests, like a Wrath Hound, Mark II Monodrives, and Ringmaws.
On floor B5, the party finds a now open door. I recommend saving before proceeding.
Behind the door, the party finds the Type-0 Behemoth. This monster has several parts: a Horn, an Upper Body, and a Lower Body. To stagger it, the party must disable the Upper Body and Lower Body. The Horn is invulnerable while it is glowing. Unfortunately, while the Horn is intact, it will counter if the party casts spells. The Type-0 Behemoth's nnormal attacks are damaging up, but it will get fast and furious when it uses Rampage.
During this battle, the Pedometer materia reaches 5,000 steps and becomes an AP Up materia. Well, that will be handy for mastering magic materia.
When the Type-0 Behemoth is staggered, its Horn becomes vulnerable. Unfortunately, it will rectify that when it recovers.
When thee Type-0 Behemoth dies, look out for it to rain debris down on the party's heads. It drops a Behemoth Horn, needed for "Secret Medicine".
The party fast-travels out to Evergreen Park. They report to Wymer. He rewards them with the Wrecking Ball, a melee weapon for Barret. "Subterranean Menace" complete!
The party takes Sam's Delivery Service to the Sector 5 Undercity - Entrance.
They report to the Doctor in front of the community center. The Doctor rewards them with the Telluric Scriptures Vol. III, which gives Aerith 10 SP. "Secret Medicine" complete!
