Dio is a retired Napolese major with mid game levels and lives a peaceful life with his wife and daughter, Gisela and Monika. However, he plans to move away with his family to another location to avoid getting caught up in the upcoming war between Polska and Anglica, though he wants a week to get ready. He hunts a rabbit for his daughter's birthday, but returns to find a bunch of French speaking soldiers razing the village and killing everyone.

I didn't actually catch the name of Johann's village, but I extracted the Data.wolf file and looked at the map names to make an educated guess. IMO, you should display the name of an area when the player enters it.
Anyways, you take control of Johann, who has to help his sister find their cat, Kiki. Talk to their father to get a letter, which you won't be able to deliver until later.

When you return to town, it turns to evening. As you approach the Kestler house, a ghostly woman will run in. She has red pinkish hair, so maybe she's the ghost of their mom?

The game changes you to controlling Jack, a student of Magus Academy who specializes in healing magic. This place seems to be run by the Atlian Union, but I'm not sure which country each area belongs to. At the very least, it doesn't appear to be in Napoli, Polska, or Malda.
The headmaster is a suspicious person and no one knows how he got his power and money.
The Atlian War happened 150 years ago. The Western Alliance consisted of the Anglican Kingdom, the Fransan Republic, and Napoli. The Eastern Pact had Polska and Himmeland.
Jack is called to talk to Headmaster Lemmor. He's interested in Jack's thesis about ancient Megidans using telepathy.
There's a class for practicing offensive magic, but Jack can't aim a fireball at all. However, he easily heals the burns of a nearby student. I guess he should stick to his strengths?
