1 Amazing and 1 Meh Game Arrive on Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Service
26Once again, it appears that Nintendo is releasing games for fans of the Nintendo Switch online service. This time it looks like we're getting games for the Game Boy side of things, but the titles look like games that we've gotten on other platforms already. I'm not super excited about these myself, but let's take a look at what we as they added 1 amazing and 1 meh game to the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Service.
New Games:
Donkey Kong
Mario Picross
What do I think of them?
I'm going to start with Mario Picross because this is the one that I'm really kind of surprised that they even bother to put out. It's a Picross game, who really cares? Plus, we got a version of Mario Picross on the Super Nintendo side of the Switch online service in recent months, so it seems like more of the same. I'm really not excited for this game and it's not something that I plan on ever playing.
Donkey Kong for the Game Boy, however, is actually an exceptional version of this game. I would dare say that I enjoy this version of Donkey Kong more than the original arcade version or the NES version. Not only do you get color with the super Game Boy version of the game, but you get additional levels that we didn't have in the original Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong for the Game Boy expanded upon this classic and, in many way,s improved it.
These are available for you to download now if you are a current subscriber to the Nintendo Switch online with the expansion pack. It's nice that these games don't cost anything additional to add to your library, but as we recently found, Nintendo has been removing games from the service, which makes me wonder how long these will last on the Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, Switch Lite, and eventually the Nintendo Switch 2.
