Cities: Skylines is likely the most difficult city builder built to date. One foul move and your whole city falls apart with few chances of recovering. This video does a pretty basic opener with electricity and water. It illustrates how to do the basic Grid pattern and keeping everything connected. This video brings the series to Small Hamlet, the lowest of the low in terms of cities.
