Archeologists unearth enigmatic discoveries regularly, and, in most cases, the findings are hard to believe because they're contrary to scientific laws. The truth is, the world would be a boring place without a slight touch of mystery and the supernatural. Therefore, it is safe to reveal ten of the most mysterious artifacts believed to have special powers! Stay locked as we begin with number 10.
10. Prophet Muhammad's Cloak
Prophet Muhammad's cloak is a sacred dress worn by the revered messenger of God. Legend has it that the cloak made its way to Afghanistan, where it was owned by the first Afghan king. While he visited Uzbekistan, he saw it there and thought it wise to bring it home to Afghanistan. He promised the keepers that he wouldn't take it far away from a particular stone. They believed him, and he did keep to his words. Today, the dress and the king's remains are kept in a heavily guarded shrine in Kandahar.
Many robbers have attempted to break into the location, but their plans were foiled. In 1996, this cloak became part of the imagery of the Taliban. After Mullah Omah wore it, he gathered all the support from the masses to become the head of the Taliban. He removed it from the shrine and appeared in public with it. Since it used to be off-limits to everyone, it showed that he was influential and a force to reckon with. This changed the narrative forever.

9. The true cross
The history of this relic is more like that of St. John the Baptist, as many pieces of it have found their way into many churches around the world. One of the churches that stand out the most is the Church of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Asides from the three pieces of the wood that came from the cross, other relics like the two thorns from Christ's crown and the nails are also found. Everything we know about the cross artifacts was assembled by St. Helena, who was well known for legalizing Christianity.
After Christ was removed from the cross, it was discarded so that his believers would never find it. At the time, there was a war, and Emperor Constantine prayed to God for help to win his battles. God revealed the image to him in the sky, and he adopted it as the symbol for Roman troops. Fortunately, his mother was guided to the location where it was buried, and it was later passed down from one generation to the other. This relic is at the heart of several battles, especially the sacking of Jerusalem by the Persian king in 614 AD.

8. Buddha's tooth
When Buddha was cremated, every part of his body was covered except for a left canine. This tooth later became a religious symbol and an object of controversy, with everyone fighting for possession. Fanatics want to keep it to themselves, probably to brag about it to their friends, but their efforts proved abortive. The official tooth is housed in the Temple of Tooth in Sri Lanka, but there are pockets of disturbing stories about the tooth's journey.
After it was hidden in a Princess's hair, it managed to cross to Sri Lanka in the fourth century AD. During Portuguese expansion and European colonization, they seized the tooth and handed it over to the Archbishop, who then burnt it and threw the ashes in the ocean. Fortunately, what was destroyed wasn't the real deal. This artifact is said to be 2,500 years old and what's even more shocking is that it is still growing. Some sick visitors claim they were healed after visiting the museum.

7. The foundation stone
We can't talk about mysterious artifacts without looking at Jerusalem. Temple mount is known as the point where three religions meet, and they all hold it sacred. One of those holy places is the Foundation stone, also known as the Noble Sanctuary. On the surface, it is a slab of limestone that has been a topic of debate and bloodshed for centuries. Muslims believe it is the place where Prophet Muhammad ascended. It is also regarded as the source of all freshwater in the world. Another school of thought believes it has a bottomless pit where souls were judged.
The Jews posit that creation started from here. According to them, there needed to be a focal point before anything was created, and the Foundation stone was that point. After the creation, the stone became a sacred part of Jewish tradition. It was the site of the Ten Commandments and the Ark of the Covenant. Because of its presence, the power of God is felt in the world. It is also the spot where Jacob dreamt that a ladder connected everything in creation.
