10m Platform (30.00) [TWR] - Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS)
Haven't posted one of these in a while. This event in particular was pretty difficult to get perfect.
So in order to get the 30.00, you need to get a 10.00 on each of the three tries. Each of the tries can be subdivided into three parts, which get harder with each try, and MUST be done perfectly:
1. Jump: You need to release exactly at the point where the meter is at its maximum (which only lasts for about 2 frames). Any lesser degree of charge, and you will not be given a 10.00.
2. Twist: Input all the button combos given. They vary depending on what try you're on, but this is very easy.
3. Entry: You need to enter the water within ±10 degrees from straight downwards. This gets progressively harder with each turn, as your rotation speed will increase with each one. A technique I use to make this easier is to wait until just before the character is about to enter the water. This helps me better determine the point at which I'm facing straight downwards.
Took many attempts to record, but I couldn't be happier with how good my jumps and entries were. Hell, I even got less than 1 degree off of perfect on the third entry, which is amazing considering how fast you sweep by the 0-degree mark.
