Whale on a Sub completed with 100%, 5000 points. Though we got 100% actual completion here, it's considered low% because we got the minimum score of 5000 points. The first three cycles of Megawhale are easy: just target a prop and shoot it off as fast as possible, making sure to not hit any mines or ghost subs, as they will give you points. It is preferred you have the two ghost subs that follow you around hit Megawhale so they instantly die, and you don't shoot them down by accident. The hardest part, though, is the fourth cycle. When Megawhale is defeated, a smart bomb goes off, destroying and awarding points for everything on-screen. A hint that may come in handy for this last cycle is that as long as you stay above the whale's mouth, it will not deploy anything. For this reason, it needs to be defeated while Pac-Man is above the mouth. Observe the video closely to see the correct timing for this.

Important note: This was done on the PC version. The Gamecube version actually requires alternate strats here, because the ghost subs will not die when colliding with Megawhale! One positive is that since they're invincible, they can actually run through and destroy the propellers themselves on the first three phases. For the fourth phase, however, you need to actually kill yourself on the last checkpoint to despawn the ghost subs (because there's no way to kill them otherwise) and carry out the fourth phase in the same way shown in the above video.

This video series will basically serve as a guide for the Low% speedrunning category. All that is required for that is to collect the least fruit and pac-dots possible. For added challenge however, I will also be minimizing score, extra lives, health wedges, power-ups, checkpoints, and etc collected.
