Kid Chameleon: Skarloey Levels in 2:07
13A respectable run of one of the first Kid Chameleon mods ever made, by Skarloey100. I beat the four levels six minutes faster than I did in my first attempt of it over 2 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CemVQa6XX4
In case you're wondering, each of the levels are on four separate ROMs, which is the reason the game keeps being reset. A 2:05 is definitely possible but I'll probably just stick with this time. There's little motivation to improve when there's far more complete hacks out there (HMR, UKC, RTW, KCX) that would have more interesting speedruns. In any case, here's a brief breakdown of each level:
Level 1: Literally perfect execution here, even getting a frame-perfect jump. You can probably spot which one that is.
Level 3: Skipped level 2 because this one is way harder. I got lucky here because sometimes you can randomly despawn a Tar Monster near the end of the level which usually removes all your hit points before you can break all the blocks as Berzerker.
Unnamed Level: Small mistake bouncing once after the first teleportation; no big deal. The hard part is near the end where Red Stealth needs to squeeze into a two block high space bordered by rubber blocks. The basic strat here is to hope and pray you get through lol, and it didn't take a terribly long time to get through here.
Level 2: Easy and straightforward level. Slight execution error at the very end, but no big deal.
