Welcome to the first installment in a series of videos where I'll be counting down the best new sim racing cars from 2019.

I tried a lot (but of course not all) of new cars and mods this year, and I've trimmed the list down to a top 12. Rather than cram it all in to one "best of 2019" video, I've decided for a number of reasons that it'll be better to break this out into separate videos.

Along the way I'll be giving out copies of mods where possible, so make sure to tune in each day for your chance to win.

For this video, and #12 on my list of the best of 2019, I'm showcasing the Porsche 911 991.2 GT3 R from Assetto Corsa Competizione. This is the second Porsche we've had in ACC, and it builds on what Kunos was able to accomplish with the first car.

The 991.2 is a handful to drive (though less so than its predecessor), and that actually adds to the enjoyment of the car. There is no time to relax behind the wheel of this beast. And there are no easy corners. The weight distribution of the 911 gives it unique handling characteristics on track. Combine that with the incredible sounds and visuals we get in ACC, and you've got something special.
