The episode begins with the same red clone wars title card that we got for the last parts of clone wars season 7- setting our stage for taking place during the revenge of the sith.
In fact, we even get reimagined animated scenes from the Revenge of the Sith of grievous high tailing it, and Anakin rescuing palpatine.

Palpatine regards the attempts on his life have left him scarred as in mace windu blocking the lightning and it reflecting back on him.

Wrecker calls his little stuffy, his Lula. This is a reference to jedi padawan of Yoda’s named Lula Talisola- if you turn on subtitles, the two are even spelled Lula- Yoda trained her during the High Republic era, this could be foreshadowing for the High Republic Star Wars Trilogy in the works at Disney right now! Since the high republic movies will be following a young yoda in his prime, this could be laying the seeds for her appearance in those movies.
Hunter tells Tech to plot a course for J19 where they know a guy. I’m confident this means the crew are on their way to meet Captain Rex who we saw in the trailer for the show. With Rex being in the show, we might get a flashback as to where and how Ahsoka and Rex split up after the events of the season 7 finale. So, this could mean Captain Rex’s appearance in the show or Cut Lawquane who was the clone trooper defect in the clone wars who lives in sector J-19. Maybe Rex went to see Cut after Order 66, because you’ll remember that Cut’s family nursed Rex back to health in the clones Wars season 2. So, we’ll get potentially two big cameos in episode 2 next week.
