Over the past two years my interest in the Switch has come and gone, and come back plenty of times. Currently with the great games coming out this holiday season for it, I'm very excited about the console and have been playing it quite a bit.

The combination of the Switchs great games in addition to the many retroarch cores a modded Switch can use make handheld and console hybrid a perfect piece of gaming history. However if you strictly want a box to play retro games, the Xbox Series S is the way to go if you are buying something new off the shelf.
