Call me nostalgic, but online gaming has changed for the worse. An entire generation of kids that grew up with online idols that were able to make careers out of playing video games has seemingly influenced millions into playing games for more than just fun.

This competitive nature of many modern videos has left the casual player with an uphill battle to even become good enough at a game to enjoy it.

Is it bad game design? Is it a change in the culture around gaming? I think it is more of the second.
