2013 Best Performances: #2 Impenetrable Kip
On Thursday and Friday last week, we showed you how Westervelt and Rubeor dominated this game offensively. On the back end, Kip Turner showed MLL fans why he's one of the most dominant goals in MLL history with his unbelievable performance. Turner held the Lizards to just three goals on the 20 shots he faced, posting an unprecedented 85% save percentage in the game. The three goals allowed is the lowest ever in an MLL game.
The rest of 2013: If not for Jesse Schwartzman and the undefeated Outlaws, Turner would have been the easy pick for Goalie of the Year. His 10.35 goals against average ranks third all-time (only behind Schwartzman) while his .571 save percentage was third best in the league. However, he showed his true form in the playoffs, posting a .583 save percentage and a 10.00 goals against average for his third straight MLL title.
