2023 01 12 02 41 46 First Orbital Flight
My first Kerbal Space Program orbital flight in many years, and of course I am using the automation I wrote five to seven years ago in kOS to control an unmanned orbital probe. The ascent code is unmodified from my old project, but I had to reconcile two distinct versions of the circularization code; and as usual for this kind of flight, the deorbit sequence is custom for the flight.
This video is part of a series: • Kerbal Space Program [save 1]
A note on visual and audio quality:
This was also my first check that I had OBS set up to record correctly. Yes, I know it recorded in 720p and as a result it looks really bad, and I realized too late that my (physical) mute switch was activated, but what the heck, why not throw this video out there to let my friends know what I am tinkering with these days!
A note on the comment section:
In general, comment sections (at least for popular channels) seem to fail to remain polite and on topic, but it is possible that a tiny channel would be ok. So I've turned on comments for the first time in many years. I've left it on "hold everything for moderation" for now and we will see how it goes.
