15This game is awesome! Shrouded in Sanity! It is basically a 2D Dark Souls, and I love it! This First Look gameplay video for Shrouded In Sanity takes you quickly through the tutorial, and then explores the first area of the mansion and surrounding grounds. I make it all the way to a boss, with no health items left! Do I win? MAYBE.
Shrouded in Sanity is a new 2D action title that plays exactly like how a 2D Dark Souls/ Demon Souls/ Bloodborne would play. The game takes literally all the mechanics of those games, mixes them up with charming pixel graphics, a moody atmosphere, and tight fast gameplay, and spits Shrouded in Sanity out the other end!
Much like the Souls games, Shrouded In Sanity gives us more questions than answers. Who am I? Is that guy dead? Why are there tentacles coming out of the ground? Is it ok to be attracted to a spider-woman monster if shes got a great personality? Some of these questions may never get the answers we seek.
At the start of this First Look gameplay video for Shrouded in Sanity, I am pretty "meh" on the game, but by the time I reached the ending, I am fully sold. Or should I say... SOULD...? I should not.
Bad puns aside, if you can get past the blatant borrowing from the Dark Souls games, you might really enjoy this game, just like I did.

Discover the secrets of the estate, as you look for answers among the violent inhabitants.
A strange and repelling madness took hold of the servants roaming the halls, and they will attack on sight, for their madness is one rooted in a deeper understanding of cosmic insignificance.
To repel the maddening horrors, your Iaito cane, and Waltham A9 hand canon will aid you. To mend your injuries your Vitae concoctions will offer healing.
Beware, whatever unearthly events have transpired, your sanity will be tested as the truth unfolds in this hungry all-consuming Fog.
