A quick look at another Soviet-era calculator from 1980, originally costing ₽200.

It uses the К145ИП12 (K145IP12) processor and has a changeable battery tray, apparently ... instead of four AA batteries you can install an adaptor to take four of those circular, rechargeable batteries.

Interestingly it has a similar issue with one of the digits is almost fully lit the whole time ... I've seen this in other Soviet calculators.
