This is my Princess PBW-121 television that my parents gave me for Xmas one year in the mid-80s. It has a 4.5" B&W CRT, built-in antenna and a 3.5mm socket for an external 300Ω antenna. However no video/composite input.

It utilises an AN5151N signal processor that does most of the processing of an RF television signal, producing a separated audio & video signal. This allows us to more easily inject a baseband video signal.

So I thought I'd give it a try whilst I had the TV apart. Seems to work pretty easily - found where the video output (pin 5) was, disconnected it from the IC and then hooked an RCA cable up.

Apart from some very visible horizontal retrace lines, it worked as expected. Will need to add some new sockets on the backshell of the TV, etc.
